The Sunday Times – how to become the preferred purchaser
The Sunday Times reported yesterday on house prices in central London going through the roof, competition being ruthless and estate agents engineering bidding wars.
Amongst the reported list of “estate agents’ tricks” were two-hour open houses to push buyers into making ever-increasing offers, only offering a property to cash buyers once they had provided evidence and setting misleadingly low asking prices to encourage multiple offers.
Despite these tactics occurring in London, there are signs that these methods are filtering out into the Home Counties and beyond where demand is high and supply short.
Fortunately The Sunday Times did include how to get oneself into pole position when buying – hire a buying agent!
By making you the preferred purchaser and by having all systems set up in the background, Alex Goldstein Property Consultants can make sure you remain in front of the competition.
